Today something came across in my mind. Why do you people go for the exterior and not for what people are really worth which is the mind. A person with good personality has such beauty that it makes the exterior seem nothing or not even a matter because when you think about it, the mind stays with the person forever but not the looks.
I believe in what I see. Apperance is often my first impression of people. Even though the mental picture I might draw is wrong. Maybe its a little sad but its the way it is … in my case.
physical attraction is more noticable than intellectual attraction. i’m personally more attracted to attitude than looks because of said reasons…

No matter how beautiful a person’s mind is, you first see the person and then approach him/her and get to know him/her (this obviously does not apply to internet meetings, of course).
So the question is, if there’s a good looking person and a, let’s say, regular person, who would you approach to get to know him/her first?
i agree with oso, yes there will always be a part where apperance will be part of the whole getting to know a person situation.

you mean in an ideal world where a person's appearance determines the attitude?then wouldn’t that be reality? one of the reasons that i don’t take first appearances into too much consideration is because i believe anyone can look beautiful in some form or phase… so depending on a girl/guys attitude, and how they would like to portrait themselves to the rest of the world, determines how they would look… unfortunately society has taken many minds to the extreme with this dimension… so extreme that if i see a girl wearing tna, tight or skimpy clothing i wouldn’t even bother paying attention to them… because the attitude usually (and i mean that by experience!) coincides accordingly… which is not what i look for in a significant other. but to be honest… girls that don’t even take care of themselves at all are very unattractive to me… to some people they may not care, to some it may be a really large issue, and to others make-up is kept to a minimum if not any at all but please, pluck your eyebrows once in a while! XD well, thats my opinion anyways…

personality matters more than looks wen it comes down to it 
wen it comes to spendin the rest of your life with someone would you rather spend it with someone who you know will look after you love, care and never betray you or would you go for a beautiful woman who maybe the complete opposite (you being the person not caring wats shes like)
but then sometimes you can find both beautiful and a great personality in one woman
most of which i have seem to find in asia
i ain’t sayin its either one or the other tho don’t get me wrong
but its just wat i think, most have either inner beauty or outer beauty

Its like having a good CV and interview technique, it gets you the job the hard work keeps it for you.
In the same way a beautiful face and figure gets you noticed the personality dictates if anyone will be long term interested.
