I have 23 that I can SEE, (not so sure of those not broadcasting SSID, and only two/three of those are unencrypted…)…
Maybe more wireless networks…
So how about you guys?

there are 20 around me, which i find confusing, because there arent even 20 houses in my line of sight
But then i dont really live within the city limits or a high population area.
Earlier i was actually reading an article discussing what was considered theft in terms of wireless internet. Officially in the US and UK as i recall, its considered theft to connect to any wireless network w/o permission of its owner. But most people dont seem to consider it theft if you are only hopping on for a couple minutes (vs 24/7).
mine and my neighbors ![]()

my batlaptop only finds 3 in my direct vicinity, but I know for a fact there's around 140+ in my appartment complex140? That must be hard finding a channel to use…
Only a couple near me, but I only use an old 802.11b wireless router connected to my wired router for my PS3 and my roommate’s laptop for now.

Currently at work so about 14 atm

9 around me, if you include the one I’m on.
There are usually about 8 to 10 including mine and my neighbors. only 1 is not encrypted.
2 including mine
There’s a few around in the hospital (current location) found one that was encrypted, couldn’t crack it…
There’s about 3 unencrypted and 1 that I have the usrnam and pass for but thats so I can connect to the net.
At my current location there’s only one; the one i’m on now. But that’s in the middle of f*ing nowhere on a farm… So it’s no surprise there aren’t any more around…
