Anyone else watched the first Last Exile series? Its definitely one of the gems that Gonzo had made about 8 years ago. Its great that there’s another season but whether it will live up to the expectations of the fans is a different matter. Gonzo hasn’t been producing good shows for a while so its worrisome.
Yeah, I watched Last Exile. It was like 8 years ago or so, but for the most part I remember the art and characters. Will be interesting to see how they redesigned everything.
Here ya go. Wont say the best since commie are speed-subbers, but they are decent enough i guess (based on their other works). Still downloading it, so no idea bout the quality.
well watched it, and i muz say, they dive straight into the action and plot right off the bat in this first episode. Some pretty sweet flying action, a major plot moment, superb animation, and a very good musical score. Though i never watched the original Last Exile (i’m downloading it now though), so i cant say for certain how it compares just yet.
immelman dive =S hmm sounds familiar.. i swear that guy was on the first last exile… makes me wonder if its really a different world, but then again i forgot most of the last last exile
well, not sure wad just happened plotwise other than that the guy seems hell bent on committing genocide. But the sky battles and the music score that went with it was pretty nice.
I’ve finally watched the first episode. It was better than I expected it to be. They retained the heart and soul of the first series. To a point where one has to wonder why they didn’t make a true sequel instead of making it all happen in a parallel universe (or so I’ve read).
Only problem is, I don’t like Fam. At all. That disrespectful little brat annoys me. No good, since it seems the series will be all about him/her.
Finally gathered the courage to watch this. I was afraid that it might soil the grand image of it’s predecessor. So far, Fam of the Silver Wing is decent.
It’s nice to see that the Ades Federation actually has a reason for their invasions other than doing it for the lulz or evulz~
I’m not very fond of the show trying to follow the trend concerning moe-centric scenarios and fanservice. It’s just out of place, and totally unnecessary especially in the exile-verse.
It’s just an opinion. Don’t lynch me for it. If you believe those stuffs improves the atmosphere of the show or relevant to the plot, feel free to do so.
I finally caught up to the latest release, and it’s nice to see Tatiana and Alister back in action again.
I agree with Kira though. As far as Fam and the new characters are concerned, I find it difficult to make a connection or even like them. I laughed so hard when Fam decided to capture Sylvius. Picking a fight on Tatiana? THAT Tatiana, who served under Alex Row, captain of Silvana? Hah!
I miss Clause and the others already.
Oh! Oh! I wonder when Silvana’s mascot will show up.
She’s wearing a guild uniform in the opening. I wonder if she’s now the head of the Hamilton Family. The guy at the back looks a lot like Vincent which doesn’t make any sense. Her guardians are very protective of her after all ESPECIALLY Clause. It’s just surreal for Alvis to show up and he doesn’t. D=
Finally caught up to this series. That “new anti-vanship technology” is OP Have to say, though, the action really picked up for the second half of this series, it’s like Michael Bay took over the direction with all the explosions And politics are about to get sticky. I like!
