So today I was at the craft store… anyone who knows me well knows that this is VERY common. And I asked the cashier if I could do a split pay, half cash, half on debit.. and she half panics “don’t swipe your card yet!” so I tell her it’s really no big deal, I have plenty of money in the account, but this way my husband doesn’t know how much I’m spending and she says something like “oh that’s awful!” and I look at her for a moment and say “…you haven’t been married before, have you? ”
So tell us some stories. I know Lop, Crios, my hubby and Impy must have some stories for starters. (like why Impy isn’t allowed to do the dishes) Even some of y’all not married yet may have live in significant others.
oi oi… that was just a one time deal in the backyard!!! i wont do it again… i know my mistake in that, with all that dirt and soil the keeps on rebounding back to the dishes
Spoiler:
now its all about the bathtub with that USEFUL removable showerhead, no worries about any soil and dirt, and at the same time, you can clean the tiles along with the dishes!!
got plenty of more tips about “speed” house cleaning, will post some more when i try out some more…“useful” ideas
i lived in a apartment with my wife, and another taiwanese roommate. so the taiwanese roommate was going back to taiwan for 2 weeks for a holiday or some sort, and she decided to rent her free room out for those 2 weeks.
another taiwanese girl had taken the offer and stayed with us for 2 weeks, and then one day, she said she wanted to bring a girlfriend over to have dinner.. so we said sure why not.. its totally fine
so, on that day i was in the toilet.. and i hear the door open and chatter so i assumed the guest girl that the taiwanese girl was bringing in was here. so i finished off and came out to say hello..
so i walk out and say, “hello”. no response. i could see that she was looking at me but still no response. then i put on my glasses and OMG BEHOLD, it was a girl i had sexual relations with before.. needless to say i was stunned and so was her, my wife looked at me curiously.. and then i told her that i knew her from friends friends etc etc bla bla (except the sex part)
the rest of the night was pretty awkward, and when the two girls left..
my wife said to me, “shes the type you like isn’t she, i don’t like her.”
I said, “err, NO shes not my type!” lol
now… wifey asked me to clean the house and i wondered how i can sweep and mop the floor at the same time… well… while my wifey was out doing some grocery shopping, i experimented with a squeegie (or howevey you spell it) and my vacuum cleaner… it worked… quite well actually… just… i gotta rememeber to take off that dust bag inside the vacuum the next time i … uhhh… “mocuum” the floors!!
i have a shop vac… just.. you still need to take off that bag insid still… else the bad will get too wet and just rip apart from the.. uh… sucking it does.. (no pun intended T_T)
Mine is amusing/nasty to me. Possibly embarrasing for Eric. We are both broad shouldered. I sleep with a stuffed bear I've had forever. And Eric sleeps with a "hug pillow". One night after we had been to karaoke, and Eric was several levels past his normal drunk-ness, we got on the discussion of the "smell" of his hug pillow. In the end he decided (as I refuse to smell the thing, I want to burn it) it smelled like: sweat, cigars, beer, butt, and oddly, of chocolate. The chocolate part is what's funny to me. I can understand how all the other smells get there, but the chocolate? Sorry if this is viewed as gross and ruins someones day. \>.\>
I thought I posted this story in this thread, I guess I didn’t.
When we first got married, I smoked like a chimney. I have since quit, and this is how it happened…
Kaori never said she had any issues with me smoking at anytime when we were dating (about 2 years). Well eventually, she really did have an issue with it. So she decided she was going to get me to stop. So she bought me several different devices and programs to get me to stop, I would try it for a couple of weeks and then go back to my “Cowboy Killers”. After about a year of this, She finally found something that would make me stop and think about it seriously, She started to total up what I was spending on cigarettes. At this time I was smoking about 2 cartons a month. When I started to look at the money I was spending, I about choked. I stopped cold turkey the next day and haven’t smoked since . . . .
