Hey everyone! long time no post, I was bored so I thought I might ask a series of questions, this being the first:

Why is it that unless a guy’s mother is dead/gone, ALL males in anime/manga can’t cook, clean or do laundry, AT ALL.

I know for a fact that most guys can do these things at least in a basic sense, but these guys will like blow up bathrooms attempting to do laundry, and cause kitchen fires trying to cook.

So my question is, is there a reason that manga/anime authors depict males useless in this aspect?

Well, I was just wondering why it was such a common joke.

It is also possible that in Japanese culture…men don’t do those things as much.
But I think it is mostly for comedic effect.
