Me: “Ugh I’m tired…”
Go towards my comp chair to sit down. My sleep bear is sitting there. In his lap is a box, the says ‘To Steph’. I open it and there’s a piece of paper.
Paper 1 from Bear.
Bear: “I’ve got something for YOU!! But first you have to find it!”
Clue:
Bowser: “Mmmm…Rubber…”
I go to Eric’s room where is Bowser plush normally is.
Eric: “I could have moved it you know.”
That thought has occurred to me.
Eric: “Think. Where in our house would there be something rubber.”
Me: “The condom drawer?”
Sure enough. I go into our room and Bowser is sitting on top of Eric’s nightstand which hold the condom drawer. And there sits Bowser munching on a condom. Under Bowser is, you guessed it, another note. I’m having fun. This is one of the reasons I love him so much. He does silly things to make me love him more!
Me: "(reading note) Clue:
Puppy: “It smells like poot in here!!”
Sidenote, our bathroom does NOT smell bad. Lol it’s just all he could think of to make me go in there without saying, ‘Go in the bathroom’. So I go in there and Puppy is not on the potty as I thought he’d be. I turn around and look in the shower and he’s sitting on the empty muffin box. Under him is another note
Me: "(reading note) Clue:
Yoshi: “Brr! It’s cold!!”
Me:“This is really fun! It’s like a scavenger hunt!”
Opening the fridge,
Me: “But poor Yoshi shouldn’t have to sit in the fridge…He’s not in the fridge. Freezer! He’ll be really cold!”
In the freezer door sits poor Yoshi, next to my preserved snow ball. It never snows in Alabama so I used a neat lil jar Eric gave me to keep a snow ball. There was another note under Yoshi.
Me: "(reading note) Clue:
Juan: “I wanna ROCK”
Me: “Hehehe! Juan Valentino!”
Juan Valentino is a bear Eric got me for V-day last year in '07. I’ll put the V-day '07 story up here one day as it’s so sweet. ^^ So I go to Juan who is holding Eric’s newly acquired Wii guitar. Under Juan is, yuppers, another note.
Me: "(reading note) Clue:
Wario: “Reading can be dangerous!”
Me: “Oh! He must be on your bookshelf!”
Eric: “You might have already seen him.”
Me: “If I did I didn’t notice him well enough!”
I go in there and look on top of Eric’s bookshelf, this is where he keeps all his plushies btw, and don’t see Wario.
Looking closer I see the biggest book Eric has laying on top of him.
Me: "Aww poor Wario. (note grab) hehehehe. (reading note)
Clue:
V-Day Puppy: “What? This isn’t chocolate!!”
The V-day Puppy is what Eric got me this V-Day. A tiny puppy plush and a BIG cup, also a big bag of assorted chocolates which we have shared. I kept mine in the big cup. I’m getting kind of excited now, and half hoping, “Well maybe it IS a ring…” I go look under my puppy…and there’s a jewelry box. Notice I don’t say ring box. Because for Christmas '06 Eric got me a necklace in what I swore was a ring box. Not a ring. So I didn’t let myself think it. “Just because it looks like a ring box doesn’t mean it’s a ring.” I open it…to…another piece of paper. Lol got you! The last paper I read to myself as I was slightly shell shocked at seeing a jewelry box.
Clue:
Eric: “…”
And I turn around and see him down on one knee, holding the supremely gorgeous ring you can see in that pic up there.
Eric: “Stephanie, I love you. Will you marry me?”
Me: “YES! Of course! Yes yes yes yes yes yes!”
Giant hugs happen before he can even begin to get off the floor. Pull back look at sparkley, hug Eric more. So that is how I got engaged today. At 6:32 p.m. central time. On leap year! That means it’s lucky! February 29, 2008. Personally hoping for Christmas wedding!
Btw sidenote again, it’s on my pinky because he didn’t know the ring size. We’re going to get it sized tomorrow.
